What can be considered?
Everyday habits, medicines aimed at particular symptoms and structured psychological approaches can be considered. The choice depends on the symptom you want to address and your health history.
Cognitive behavioural approaches
These may help some people with the distress caused by hot flushes, sleep difficulties or mood changes. This does not mean the symptom is 'all in your head'. The aim is to support coping and everyday functioning.
Medicines and access
The suitability, possible interactions and local availability of non-hormonal medicines require medical assessment. A product recommended to someone else may not be suitable for you. Prescribing requirements, follow-up and alternatives vary between options.
See it from your own perspective.
- What have I learned about the different aims of non-hormonal options?
- Which need in my everyday life would I like to understand better?
Atlas points reflect learning steps, not your health.
